Under the umbrella of Jain Social Group International Federation (JSG-IF) , Maharashtra Region, the group in Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune launched the Educon Project in April 2012 by Group’s President Mr. Kamesh Shah along with Mr. Deepak Daga and Siddharth Shah .

Later Educon project was registered as “Jain Social Group Educon” in year 2015 under Public Charitable Trust Act Mumbai 1950. Educon functions under Maharashtra Region of Jain Social Group International Federation, which was established in 1965 and has more than 35,000 Jain families of all sects with 360+ groups all over India and 19 overseas Groups.

The project name “EduCon” is based on the concept of Connect for Education. The Donor and the Students are connected together for total transparency . EduCon believes in connecting with other NGOs, corporates, volunteers, Professionals etc to encourage “Grow more to Serve More”

EduCon is based on its four founding conepts The entire team works selflessly to implement each concept in its true spirit. The success of Educon is reflected by its Repeat Donors and the Educon students success in their career.

As part of the core belief of ‘Total Transparency”, Educon handsover Educon Cards to all their Donors annually. The card gives complete details about the students along with disbursement details . This also promotes one to one contact between Donor and the student for a long term support.

Educon supports students of any cast and creed from 8th standard onwards till their career point. Support is extended to very poor families who are unable to take forward education of their children. Educon bears part of the Education expenses like college fees, hostels, coaching, entrance, books and other related education expenses.

The Educon team also provides all round support to students to motivate, guide and support to reach their career point. The various annual gatherings help them to prepare for the future. The unique concept of student to student connect helps them immensely to share knowledge, learn from others and be self motivated.

The Educon Team believes that the Educon students temporarily go through a very difficult phase in their lives. Tomorrow they will respectfully earn success in their profession. So we proudly help them in achieving their goals by making them stress- free through moral support, caring with respect and friendly behavior.

The Educon logo is designed to reflect the philosophy of Educon. The Donor and the student handshake reflects the connect concept reflecting transparency. The handshake converges to a book indicating support for Education. All Segments of boys and girls are extended financial support. Our aim is to make them star in their own career path through all round support with P.R.I.D.E.

Educon has supported hundreds of needy students with academic spread across Engineering, Medical, CA, CS, Law, MBA, Pharmacy, Nursing, Fine arts, I.T., Post graduation etc. Our students are working in Benz, TCS, YKK Corp Japan, Volkswagon, IOCL, Accenture, John Deer, Barcklays, Oracle etc and they are supporting back the Educon cause wholeheartedly.

Tribute to the Legend

Late Shri Sharad B. Shah, was the main motivator for Educon cause from its inception till he left us in year 2020. Educon movement started with his support & guidance and he laid a very strong foundation. We all at Educon dedicate ourselves to take the cause to new heights to pay our true tribute to him. He was Jain Social Group International Federation President Yr 2010-2012, President Jain Yuvak Mahasangh, Director JITO Pune Chapter, International Director of JIO. He was awarded with Jain Ratna and Jain Idol.

The Team : Advisory Board

Shri Mahavir G. Pareekh, A very renowned Social activist, Religious believer and a generous Donor. He was Jain Social Group MRC Chairman Yr 2014-15 and at present Vice President of JSG International Federation

Shri Lalchandjee Jain is associated with the Educon movement from beginning. He was JSG Maharashtra Region Chairman Yr 2013-14 and is Central Council member of JSG International Federation.

Shri Biren Shah, is International Director & Chairman Elect, Jain Social Group Int. Federation. He has held many prestigious post at Federation, Region and zone levels.

Shri Dilip D. Mehta, has actively supported and motivated the Educon team in it’s endeavor He is founder chairman of JSF and is the Vice Chairman JSGIF Maharashtra Region.

Shri Unmesh Karnawat, is Chairman of JSGIF Maharashtra Region year 2023-25 . He was President of JSG solapur group and Zone cordinator of JSG MRC solapur Zone.

Shri Dilip Chorbele, is Secretary of Jain Social Group Maharashtra Region. He was President of JSG Bibewadi group and JSG MRC Pune Zone cordinator

Mr. Kamesh Shah, is EduCon Founder Chairman. Passed B.E. from B.I.T.S. Pilani & PGDBM from XLRI Jamshedpur. Very active at all levels of JSG. By profession, an entrepreneur manufacturing cold forged Fasteners for Automotive sector in Pune.

Mr. Deepak Daga, is EduCon Secretary. He is a Mech Engg working as GM in Elpro International. Founder President of JSG Diamond group. Associated with JSG movement for last 2 decades and held many posts

Mr. Sunil Shah, is Educon Treasurer. Passed Pharmacy from Pune university. Associated with JSG for past many years and is committee Chairman at JSG Zone & Region level. By profession, he is a Pharmaceutical Distributor in Pune.
